Shooting thick bulletproof glass with various rounds

Back 2001 I worked for the RI AG's office. The Deputy Director of BCI had a pane of the bulletproof glass that lined our lobby. On it were fractures and each had a circle around it marking the caliber and weapon type.

The only thing that could penetrate that glass was a rifle round.

I like that idea... Until transparent aluminum gets clear enough for this purpose, that is.
